When I first saw this car in town it had more of the badges on the back and I swear it said this is a 219. While this looks the same as the more common 190 or 220 of the same Ponton style I've heard the 219 was a budget model sold in Europe. My dad bought a red one in Stuttgart in 1958 and I spent much of my childhood in the back seat of one of these.
I always thought that it would be my car when I got my license but it was squooshed in a 4 car pileup. While I've seen hundreds of 190's and 220's this is the only other 219 I've ever seen. If it really is a 219.
